Diciamocelo: i VGX, la nuova veste più “giovane”, esageratamente casual (non “quel” casual) e dannatamente meno sfarzosa dei gloriosi VGA di un tempo, non hanno convinto. Sarà per il nuovo format più asciutto e povero, sia di idee che di contenuti, ma il pubblico che li ha seguiti da casa (in quanto in studio c’erano solo una decina di addetti ai lavori poco propensi agli applausi) si è divertito più nel massacro virtuale, che con le tristi battute del co-host McHale, in grado di imbarazzare anche un tipo imperturbabile come Geoff Keighley.
Personalissimi commenti sull’evento a parte, quel che ci interessa sono i VGA (pardon, i VGX), i premi decretati dal pubblico, invitato a scegliere i migliori videogiochi tra un manipolo di titoli selezionato dallo staff dell’evento, degli awards comunque prestigiosi ed ambiti nonostante tutto.
Il più ambito era certamente quello di “Game of The Year“, e nonostante la concorrenza agguerritissima, poteva forse il campione d’incassi di Rockstar tornare a casa a bocca asciutta? Grand Theft Auto V se l’è vista brutta, con un affamatissimo The Last of Us, un esuberante Super Mario 3D World, un sontuoso Bioshock Infinite e un epico Tomb Raider pronti a sottrargli lo scettro, ma l’efficacissimo concentrato di violenza, satira e devastazione dotato del trio di protagonisti più memorabile della storia, si è rivelato essere il più apprezzato dal vasto pubblico che ha partecipato alla votazione.
Chi vi scrive lo ha premiato con un “Bollino Top“, uno dei due affibbiati finora (l’altro è Dark Souls, NdK), e si trova d’accordo col giudizio degli utenti (anche se avrei rivisto ben più di una nomination…NdK), e voi?
