La casa produttrice di Crysis conferma di essere interessata alle sorti della saga di Darksiders, partecipando alle aste delle restanti IP di THQ che partiranno tra qualche giorno. Tra quelle “papabili” o più importanti, possiamo citare le seguenti sei, ovvero Darksiders (appunto), Red Faction, Homeworld, Titan Quest, Costume Quest e Stacking, ma ci sono anche altri titoli minori che comunque meriterebbero un po’ di attenzione (qualcuno ha detto Worms?). Di Warhammer 40K invece non si hanno notizie, probabilmente perché già in trattativa con SEGA in seguito all’acquisizione di Relic.
David Adams, CEO di Crytek, ha twittato recentemente la seguente affermazione: “Going to bid on Darksiders IP. Put 7 years of heart and soul into that franchise, and I think it belongs at home with its creators.”, e successivamente “Looking to buy @Darksiders IP back from #THQ. The IP belongs in the hands of its creators.”; che dimostrano e confermano le intenzioni di Crytek. Ma se ciò non bastasse, una dichiarazione su Destructoid di Ryan Stefanelli, co-fondatore di Vigil ed ora principal designer di Crytek USA, riporta che: “When the Darksiders IP goes up for auction, Crytek will be bidding for it.” (Quando l’IP Darksiders andrà in asta, Crytek farà un’offerta).
Riusciremo a vedere un altro Darksiders? Incrociamo le zampe allora…
